CBC Crossroads

A fellowship at Chinese Baptist Church, Houston, Texas

About Us

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1 Corinthians 15:20

Hello Everyone!

I want to introduce you to Crossroads.

Crossroads is the name of the new community growing at Chinese Baptist Church for single adults age 35 and up. One of the definitions of crossroads in the dictionary is "point at which a vital decision must be made". We hope this fellowship group provides a place to be connected to others, so that we can use the wealth of experience God has given each of us, to help each other along the journey through life and at the crossroads. Through shared activities, conversations, experiences, and prayers, we envision Crossroads becoming a place to share your needs and your joys as well as a place to grow in your relationship with the Lord.

Crossroads has a steering committee to seek God's guidance in organizing activities and to do the administrative tasks to keep the group growing. The current members of the steering committee are Mimi Chew, Sue Chiang, Alice Gee, Karen Hong, and Gary Lee. The pastoral liaison is Pastor David Eng and the deacon liaison is Howard Gee.

Crossroads is developing its communications network. Most of the information you receive from us will be in the form of email. The email can come from any of the members of the steering committee as well as the official email address for CBC Crossroads, cbc_crossroads@yahoo.com (There is an underscore between cbc and crossroads.). We will be sending invitations to some of our events from evite.com. I am telling you all this so you will recognize our communications when they come to you. If you don't want to receive email from us, write to our email address and it will stop. Events will also be announced in the church bulletin and on the church website: www.cbchouston.org.

Crossroads' steering committee is excited about this new ministry. We look forward to meeting you at our events!

Lord, we know not where you go; and how can we know the way?
Jesus says to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.

John 14:5,6
